The 2013 Lexus ES 350 has been completely re-worked so we are basically talking about a new car in every way imaginable.  It is joined by the all-new ES 300 h hybrid model.

The ES 350 faced some tough competition in the Buick LaCrosse, Hyundai Genesis, and the new Lincoln MKZ, and considering the fact that the ES 350 was price points above the others meant they needed to do something special to attract new buyers.  Old buyers were never a problem for the ES; those who bought an ES kept trading in for new models; such was the satisfaction level for ES owners.  However, to attract new buyers changes had to be made, and made they were.

For an entry-level family sedan, this new ES 350 has ample space and sleek styling.  The ride is comfortable, the controls are easy to use, and the luxury features are ample.  It all adds up to a reliable and luxuriously comfortable ride for a family of four.

Powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 268 horsepower and a front-wheel drive six-speed automatic transmission, the Lexus ES 350 will do 0-60 in 7.1 seconds, about standard for the genre, and the 21/31 mpg is also about average. Safety features include anti-lock brakes, stability and traction control, and a plethora of air bags to surround passengers with safety.

Standard equipment includes 17-inch wheels, foglamps, sunroof, eight-speaker audio system, and tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel.  A large optional package includes audio and navigational packages, manual rear door sunshades, and a heated steering wheel for those who drive in cold climates.

For those looking for Lexus used parts, it should be noted that the ES 350 shares an engine with the Toyota Camry, and many more parts are shared as well.  Finding reliable replacement parts at a salvage yard should not be a problem, and it would in fact be advisable, since new aftermarket parts are expensive.  In fact, considering the expense of new parts, it is always a good idea to check out local salvage yards for quality recycled auto parts rather than pay through the nose for new parts.

You can rely on the new Lexus ES 350; this is quality craftsmanship as we have come to expect.  The folks at Lexus and Toyota know how to engineer a fine automobile, so no worries for first-time buyers.  When you buy a Lexus you are buying quality each and every time.
