For example, how about purchasing your own rear wing from one of Toyota F1 team’s racecars? A genuine front-nose piece would be interesting. Both are available at Toyota F1’s online shop, which has started selling used parts from actual grand prix racecars.

The wing costs about $3,560, and that doesn’t include shipping. The nose piece is a virtual bargain at $2,280. There’s even a used brake disc for $285 for fans looking to economize. It makes an excellent paperweight. Team Toyota will ship to most countries around the world, including the United States.

Each part been used on the Toyota team’s Formula One cars – either for testing or racing –and each comes with a certificate of authenticity. Some of the parts were used on racecars in action as recently as 2007.

Considering the number of out-of-date parts the Toyota Formula One team accrues race after race, the team wanted to give F1 fans the chance to buy unique souvenirs. There aren’t many race fans out there who own a genuine Formula One rear wing.
