Let’s play word association.  We say “Volvo.”  What do you say?

If you are like many Americans, you might say import.  You might even say Sweden, although most Americans still think the Volvo is a German import.  What other first impressions do you have about Volvo?

Isn’t it strange?  Volvo has sold in the United States for over five decades and yet few Americans know anything about it.  Maybe the Volvo marketing department needs to think about that fact, because there is no doubt Volvo Motor Company knows how to produce a quality automobile.

How else do you explain the fact that year in and year out, Volvo is consistently chosen as one of the safest and most reliable cars on the road?  At the same time, though, Volvo is also considered one of the dullest vehicles on the road.  Let’s face it, for years the Volvo has been safe but also boring.  It’s an old person’s car, right?  No way a young person is going to buy a Volvo!

Well, it turns out that Volvo is quite aware of their past image, and that is why they are now offering new designs in the Volvo lineup which includes the S40, Volvo S60, and Volvo S80 sedans.  Also offered are the vans, the V50, V60 and V70, the Crossover SUVs XC60, XC70 and XC90, and the coupe/convertibles C30 and C70.  These are sleeker offerings, more European in style, more responsive in their handling and, of course, always safe and reliable.

Considering the fact that most Americans know very little about the Volvo, it is not difficult at all to find Volvo cars used parts, or for that matter Volvo new aftermarket parts.  For new parts simply go to your local Volvo dealership or any chain auto parts store.  Be forewarned, though, that Volvo replacement parts are expensive.  You pay for quality, and Volvo parts are quality for sure.

So what’s the average American going to do? The economy still stinks, money is in short supply, and you need a Volvo replacement transmission or you need Volvo replacement body parts.  How can you afford to buy what you need for that Volvo of yours?

Simple solution:  go to your local salvage yard.  At places like All Import Auto Parts in Fort Worth, Volvo used parts are always available and always available at huge discounts.

All Import Auto Parts is where the smart shoppers shop!
